Nail Constellations - MUA

The ultimate procrastination - "inspired by the patterns formed into stars in the earth's night sky is a 3-dimensional extravagant nail art system" by MUA available at Superdrug.

I decided to buy the 'Pisces' colour and use it on a black background.
Here's how -

Step 1: Paint a clear base-coat onto each nail, I like Rimmel's 3-in-1 base, top-coat and strengthener.

Step 2: Carefully paint each nail with a black polish, I used a Collection 2000 polish.

Step 3: Cover a single thumb nail with clear top-coat, I used No.7 from Boots

Step 4: (I do this very differently from the instructions) Pour out a small pile of beads onto a piece of paper, and while the top-coat is still wet, roll the thumb nail into the beads to cover the entire nail. Repeat steps 3 and 4 with the other thumb nail.

Step 5: Cover a finger nail with the clear top-coat and dip half the nail into the beads, neatening the line by adding some beads individually or pushing the beads around while the polish is still wet.
Repeat for each nail

Step 6: Cover each nail completely again with the clear top coat to seal the beads and polish.

I did this nail art for a party and it was very successful :) It lasted for four days, but unfortunately didn't survive my day of car washing (but then... Not even gel nails would make it through that)

Ted Baker Spring/Summer 2013

Here are my favourite outfits from the SS13 Ted Baker lookbook, enjoy!
The whole lookbook can be viewed here

I LOVE this look! The trousers feature a beautifully summer pattern with sharp photographs of
flowers combined in an arty print. The lime jacket, top and shoes compliment
the design brilliantly. A style any fashionista would be proud to wear.

Any colour-coordinators dream!

Stand out in a lime green maxi dress this summer. Beautiful when combined with matching accessories.
Would look fantastic with this short jacket.
Stunningly elegant in pale pink.

One of the feature pieces from the Langley collection. Compliments any figure with its flared skirt.

I just love this picture.
A look from the men's collection. Gorgeous.

Formula 1: Red Bull Drivers

Following the controversial team orders and Webber's misfortune at the last race meeting in Sepang, there have been a lot of rumours about his future at Red Bull, or even in F1 at all. Ecclestone has   suggested that Hamilton's first choice was to move to Red Bull having decided to leave McLaren at the end of last season, but Dietrich Mateschitz, the owner of the Red Bull racing team was loyal to his long-term racing driver, Mark Webber. Hamilton has denied this hierarchy, saying that he asked his management to look into all the options and that he's very happy at Mercedes: "It's the best decision I've ever made."

However, if Webber decides to leave Red Bull when his contract expires at the end of this season, there will be no shortage of hopefuls to joining the elite team. Mateschitz has expressed an admiration of Kimi Raikkonen but also said that either of the Torro Rosso drivers would have a shot at the seat. 2014 will be an interesting year for F1 with many changes to the regulations and doubtless some exciting team drama too, but let's not forget how brilliant 2913 has been so far, and how much more is to come!

Old thoughts on the Geneva Motor Show

Very interesting Bertone Aston Martin at the Geneva Motor Show: the Jet shooting brake, based on the Rapide. I'm not sure whether I love it or hate it..

The front is classic Aston (WITH THE GRILL THAT FORD HAVE STOLEN FOR THEIR NEW FIESTA)
LOOK!
The back. Undecided, is it nice..?

Also shown, the Lamborghini Veneno costing £2.6m. The scariest car I have ever seen which reminds me of the Batmobile but looks as though it eats small children for breakfast. Only 3 will be sold.

Another motor show, another special edition Bugatti Veyron. This time it's the Venet, which features a paint job by French artist Bernar Venet. Look close enough and you'll see some of the mathematical equations used by the Veyron's engineers during the car's extensive development. I'd rather have the centenary edition Aston Vanquish or the Q.

The new Enzo was unveiled at the show, LaFerrari has an AWFUL name, but looks very, very pretty and uses F1 hybrid technology.
